Diazepam nasal spray (Valtoco)

Valtoco is the first and only diazepam nasal spray for seizure cluster rescue.

Before Valtoco, Diazepam was already available as oral tablets, oral solution, injections and rectal gel.

Strengths: 5 mg/spray, 7.5 mg/spray and 10 mg/spray

Indication: for the acute treatment of intermittent, stereotypic episodes of frequent seizure activity (i.e., seizure clusters, acute repetitive seizures) that are distinct from a patient’s usual seizure pattern in patients with epilepsy 6 years of age and older.

Formulation: Valtoco utilizes Neurelis’ Intravail® technology.
