Exservan is a first oral film formulation of Riluzole.
Before Exservan, Riluzole was available as oral tablets and oral suspension. Exservan will serve as an alternative for patients who are diagnosed with ALS and face difficulties swallowing or administering traditional dosage forms of Riluzole. Exservan has received orphan drug designation in Jan. 2018.
